magnesium oil insomnia
Thursday, March 4th, 2010What is the best time of day to take my meds and are they going to even help at all?
I have been on 200mg Lamictal for 6 months for depression and possible bipolar II.
I was taking 2 mg Ativan for the past 2 months (for sleep – I have severe insomnia and nighttime anxiety) but now weaning off because it was making me depressed and I kept feeling like I needed more for the same effect.
I was prescribed Ambien, tried it the other night and it did nothing. At all. : (
The next night I tried Lunesta 2.5 mg and still was waking up all night long and felt very weird and slow the next day.
Now the Dr. has prescribed Trazodone. I’m taking it tonight. If this doesn’t work should I try the Ambien again tomorrow night? I definitely don’t want to try the Lunesta again.
Also I’m taking these all vitamins and supplements during the day (magnesium, let-chitin, evening primrose oil, niacin, b-complex, l-glutamine, zinc, fish oil) Could they be blocking the effects of these drugs?
I am getting anxiety just thinking about all of this! God I feel crazy.
trazadone does not work instantly. it takes a few weeks for it to build up to a constant level in your body. i used to take it for sleep and it did work. i know its frustrating but give it some time. maybe you can take something else with it, like the ativan to get you to sleep until the trazadone takes full effect. good luck
