Apart from respiratory affects, what other health issues can be brought on by black mold?
I live in a LARGE apartment complex in which the infrastructure is literally collapsing. Many people have developed a NUMBER of respiratory-related health issues – BUT MY QUESTION is what other health issues are tied to black mold? Specifically, any gastrointestinal problems, depression, anxiety, exhaustion, insomnia – just anything one can think of. This is a serious question and I’m the President of the Resident’s Organization so I’m in need of medical information. PLEASE DO NOT OFFER ADVICE REGARDING CITY INSPECTORS, OUR LEGAL RIGHTS, ELIMINATING THE CAUSES OF THE MOLD, ETC. These equally important issues are already being taken care of. We just need some mold experts to offer ideas of health-related concerns we need to be aware of. Thank you to all who reply.
Barbara,
The symptoms of toxic mold exposure are but not limited to hair loss, respiratory distress, daily headaches, slurred speech, extreme fatigue, extreme weakness, anxiety, confusion, short term memory loss, inability to concentrate, speech difficulty and can lead to brain damage and death in some cases. If you need some help please contact me as i am a toxic mold consultant.
